Torrevieja will once again celebrate the Night of San Juan with the firing of a pyromusical show that will take place next Thursday, June 23, at 11:30 p.m., from the pools of the Paseo Marítimo de Juan Aparicio.
The City Council of Torrevieja, through the Department of Festivities, has prepared the firing of this pyrotechnic and musical show that will last about 20 minutes by the company awarded the pyrotechnics contract, Ferrández SL de Redován. In it, the pyrotechnic effects will be combined with some soundtracks such as Rocky, Star Wars, Gladiator or The Lion King, among others. Nor will the traditional habaneras from Torrevieja be missing on this occasion.
On this same day, a device will also be put into operation before the celebration of the Night of San Juan on the beaches of La Mata, El Cura, Los Locos and Los Náufragos. This device will be coordinated by the departments of Festivals, Beaches and Security. As part of it, access to the beaches will be limited under the control of the Local Police, Civil Guard and Civil Protection. The City Council will deliver pine and mimosa wood for the celebration, so that the minimum waste remains. In this sense, the use of other woods or elements will not be allowed. The schedule for the celebration of the Night of San Juan on the beaches will be from 9:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., followed by the sand cleaning work.
On the other hand, on the 23rd and 24th the main events of the Molinos del Calvario Bonfire program will be held, which the Department of Festivities publicly congratulates for being the only one that keeps this festive tradition alive in our city.
On Thursday the 23rd there will be parades starting at 1:00 p.m., followed by the activities “Fifth and Tapa” and “Popular Paella”. At 5:30 p.m. the children's activities will begin, raffle of gifts and at 11:00 p.m. there will be a performance by Drag Imperio and the DJ. Rafa. On Friday, June 24, the events will begin at 9:00 a.m. with an awakening and musical parade. At 2:00 p.m. a Mascletá will be fired in the Plaza del Molino. At 5:30 p.m. there will be children's activities followed by a performance by the "Paya's" Dance School, a raffle of gifts, a performance by DJ Rafa and at 01:00 a.m. there will be the crema de las bonfires 2022.
