On the afternoon of yesterday, Wednesday, June 29, an emotional act of tribute was held for her retirement to the music teacher Conchita Boj Andréu, who has been a teacher at the Francisco Casanovas Professional Conservatory of Music for 38 years, 15 of them as responsible , founder and director of the Maestro Casanovas Choir.

The Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, attended this surprise concert for the honoree, accompanied by the Councilor for Quality of Urban Services, Sandra Sánchez, as well as family, friends, teachers from the center and former students, many of them music professionals. , come expressly for the occasion from different parts of Spain and even abroad.

Throughout the concert there were many signs of love and affection towards Conchita Boj, for her lifelong dedication to music, as well as emotional thanks that followed one another, one after another, throughout the evening. In addition to the performances and heartfelt thanks, anecdotes, images and videos of his musical and family career followed one another, making references to the great music master Francisco Casanovas.

The director of the Conservatory for the last eight years, Inmabel Celdrán, presented this emotional act that ended with the performance of two habaneras, "A tu lado" and "Rosita de un verde palmar", performed by choristers who have belonged to the Casanovas Master Choir. and that they were accompanied on the piano by Manolo Martínez and directed by Conchita Boj herself.

The tribute concert ended with the intervention of the mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, who took advantage of the act to announce that he is going to submit a proposal to the Board of Spokespersons of the City Council so that the building that will house the conservatory, in front of the International Music Auditorium, the name of Conchita Boj Andreu. Finally, Eduardo Dolón presented her with a badge with the city's coat of arms, for her retirement and in recognition of her almost 40 years as a professor at the “Francisco Casanovas” Professional Conservatory of Music.
