The City Council adheres to the Provincial Council's line of granting aid to minimize the economic impact of the current energy crisis

This morning, the Councilor for Economy and Finance of the Torrevieja City Council, Domingo Paredes, has asked the Provincial Council of Alicante to adhere to the line of granting aid aimed at minimizing the economic impact that the energy crisis is having on SMEs, micro-SMEs, small self-employed entrepreneurs and professionals from their municipalities for the 2022 annuity.

Domingo Paredes reports that this aid is intended to subsidize the energy costs of gas and electricity between April 1 and June 30, 2022, which are necessary for the operation of the business. In addition, fuel expenses between January 1 and June 30, 2022 are also subsidized.

The mayor of Economy and Finance has made it clear that this energy crisis that we are suffering has come at the worst possible time, when businesses were devoting all their efforts to overcoming the economic crisis derived from COVID-19. With this subsidy, added to the one already in place to alleviate business losses and the implementation of the Consumer Bonus, you can avoid the closure of many companies and not only maintain jobs, but also create new ones. jobs when they are needed most.

Finally, it should be noted that the municipality of Torrevieja corresponds to the amount of 313,716 euros. In the coming weeks, the publication of the aid and all the procedures that companies must follow to request it will be announced.
