Torrevieja enjoyed "Handbol al Carrer"

More than 250 participants gathered last Saturday at Paseo Vista Alegre for the return of 'Handbol al Carrer'. Torrevieja and its fabulous enclave next to the Mediterranean Sea witnessed a morning full of outdoor sports marked by the participation of boys and girls of all ages.

The circuit, organized by the Handball Federation of the Valencian Community in collaboration with the Torrevieja City Council, already has nine stops in just eleven months throughout the entire Valencian territory and achieving a participation of more than 2,000 people.

Athletes from handball clubs from all over the province of Alicante, as well as from other sports in the city of Torrevieja, did not want to miss the premiere of the second season of 'Handbol al Carrer', with three tracks set up along the Paseo Vista Alegre , in addition to the gaming area specializing in handball as part of the FBMCV's commitment to innovation in collaboration with Valengame.

The Councilor for Sports of the City Council of Torrevieja, Diana Box, celebrated "being able to have 'Handbol al Carrer' again in our town after the good reception it had last year and that aroused so much interest." Box Alonso highlighted "the merit of filling Paseo Vista Alegre with handball, which, in addition to demonstrating the work carried out by the Valencian Community Handball Federation, confirms the roots that this sport has in our city"

Pedro Fuertes thanked “the unconditional support of the Torrevieja City Council in all the activities that we promote from the Federation, not only for competitions but also to bring sport to the streets. The president of the Valencian Community Handball Federation recognized that “it is great news to once again enjoy 'Handbol al Carrer' as the backbone of the territory, which is also one of our main objectives”.
