Take care of your hearing health: an Audika initiative in collaboration with the Torrevieja City Council, to make the population aware of the importance of taking care of their hearing

Torrevieja hosts on Friday, October 7, a day dedicated to hearing health, where you want to raise awareness of the importance of reviews. A pioneering initiative that seeks to sensitize the population to prevent possible problems arising from hearing loss.

To do this, thanks to the collaboration of Audika hearing centers and the City Council of Torrevieja, between 9:00 and 14:00 hours, citizens will be able to perform a hearing test completely free of charge. Through this test, citizens will be able to find out their level of hearing and will receive information on signs and symptoms that show a possible hearing loss. In addition, each participant will be given different gifts.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 1.5 billion people in the world suffer from some type of hearing loss. Not detecting a hearing loss in time generates social problems (isolation, lack of communication...), physical (tiredness, stress, dizziness...), psychological (depression, irritability, mistrust...) and cognitive (dementia, Alzheimer's...). Therefore, it is very important to check the hearing once a year.
