The AGAMED Board of Directors approves an investment plan of 2.6 million euros for 2023

Some investments that are destined to continue in the integral improvement of the infrastructures of the Drinking Water Distribution Network (499,943 euros), the Sanitation and Sewage Network (609,371 euros) and the Municipal Rainwater Network (1,017,902 euros)

In the Board of Directors held yesterday at the AGAMED headquarters, chaired by the mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, the investments to be made by Aguas del Arco Mediterráneo for the 2023 financial year have been approved, with the determination to continue in the integral improvement of the infrastructures of the Potable Water Distribution Network and the Sanitation and Sewage Network and the Municipal Rainwater Network. For the execution of the works contemplated in this infrastructure plan, a total investment of 2,650,219 euros has been approved.

As for the Potable Water Distribution Network , the aim is to improve the infrastructure in the areas where it is deficient, as well as to renew and modify the existing network, in order to improve service conditions such as pressure, supply guarantee and water quality. The total investment with own funds for the next year 2023 amounts to 499,943 euros. Some of the actions contemplated in this budget include the renovation of water connectors, the regulation of pressures in urbanizations and the renovation of networks in streets such as Minerva, Isla Grosa, Lejona, Baco, La Sagra, Murillo, Clemente Gosálvez, the La Mata cemetery area and the Children's Traffic Park; among others.

Regarding the Sanitation and Sewage Network , the evacuation of wastewater flows will be improved, renovating and expanding the existing infrastructures to adapt them to the current needs of the population, also eliminating the problems of bottlenecks and blockages in various points of the urban area and urbanizations, caused by various reasons such as breakage, collapse, infiltration, insufficient diameter and degradation of the facilities as a result of the passage of time. The investment for the replacement and adaptation of the sewerage network amounts to 609,371 euros. Among the actions to be carried out within this budget, there is, for example, the renovation of water evacuation infrastructures in Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, Ramón y Cajal, and Bella Antonia streets; among others.

In addition to the 609,371 euros of investment for the sanitation network, an important action of 420,708 euros is planned, charged to the renovation fund, for the replacement of the sewerage network in the El Limonar Urbanization.

As for the Rainwater Network , the evacuation of rainwater flows will continue to be improved, renovating and expanding the existing infrastructures to adapt them to the current needs of the population, especially working in the Torreta Florida urbanization. Action will be taken, among other streets and avenues, on: Bergantín street and Avenida de la Purísima, San Miguel avenue and Ercina street, Maldonado street between San Luis and Diego Ramírez Pastor avenue, Las Grullas avenue in the El Limonar urbanization, La Marina street, Villena and Alcoy, and the rainwater evacuation network will be expanded on Calle Händel and Calle Ravel.

The total investment with own funds for the year 2023 amounts to 1,017,902 euros.
On the other hand, within the Equipment and Miscellaneous chapter, an investment of 102,294 euros is foreseen in the renovation of the control meters of the different pumping stations and general pipes, in addition to the interconnection of the high-altitude supply lines "Alfoz I and Alfoz II”, main sources of supply in the municipality. Likewise, within this section, the development of the Water Museum project is included with an item that contemplates the needs prior to the preparation of the museological project in the surroundings of the Municipal Natural Park of Molino del Agua.
