The Councilor for NGOs and Volunteers of the Torrevieja City Council, Concha Sala, informs of the start of the “Healthy Smiles” campaign, which is being launched by the Association of Families to Help Saharawi Children (FANS) in collaboration with this council. The objective of the campaign is to send dental hygiene products, such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, to the Saharawi refugee camps.
The campaign will be carried out in the educational centers of Torrevieja and the collection points will be established in the "Virgen del Carmen" Cultural Center and in the Palacio de la Música. From today, and until December 20, these dental hygiene products will be collected so that, in the month of January, the association can send all the material to its destination. A member of the FANS association will be in charge of taking all the collected products and making the delivery to these people who need so much help.
Both from the Department of NGOs and Volunteers and from the FANS association they will continue to work closely to help a group as vulnerable as the Saharawi people.
