Notice of gunpowder shot for today Wednesday 7, and tomorrow Thursday, December 8, on the occasion of the Patron Saint Festivities in Honor of La Purísima

From the departments of Festivals, Animal Protection and NGOs of the Torrevieja City Council, the various prevention measures are reported regarding the shooting of a mascletá in the Plaza de la Constitución that will take place today, Wednesday, December 7, at 2:00 p.m.: 00 hours.

Also tomorrow, Thursday, December 8, the traditional fireworks display will take place on the occasion of the Day of the Patron Saint of Torrevieja, La Purísima Concepción. The castle will go off inside the enclosure of the fishing port, around 8:30 p.m. approximately, at the same time that the Solemn and Magna Procession of La Purísima takes place.

Following the recommendations of specialists in pediatric neurorehabilitation, a series of aids are recalled that can be useful as a preventive measure for people with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) or other affectations with auditory or sensory hypersensitivity:

-Provide headphones or earplugs, this will greatly reduce the intensity of auditory stimuli.

-Dress in tight clothing, which provides some body pressure and helps lower the level of anxiety.

-Encourage desensitization and tolerance to these stimuli, anticipating visually and orally throughout the day what is going to happen.

-Do not insist or force participation in it, in the case of having proof that it is not tolerable.

On the other hand, it is recommended that all pet owners, especially dogs, avoid going out with their pets at the announced time or, in any case, choose to take a walk in areas far from the announced point to the shot from the castle
