409 local companies obtain aid from the Provincial Council for the payment of electricity, gas and fuel to minimize the economic impact caused by the energy crisis

The Councilor for Public Works, Employment and Local Development of the Torrevieja City Council, Domingo Paredes, reports that once the established deadline for admission of applications for a line of aid to SMEs, micro-SMEs and the self-employed has expired, in order to minimize the economic impact and social that this energy crisis is assuming for these groups, a total of 409 applications from Torrevieja companies have submitted the required documentation and meet the established requirements of the call carried out by the Provincial Council of Alicante.

These 409 local companies will share the aid of 313,716 euros to subsidize the current cost of electricity, gas and fuel, in a period that includes the years 2021 and 2022.

  • Electric power. In the period between April 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022.
  • Gas. In the period between April 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022.
  • fuels. In the period between January 1, 2022 and June 30, 2022.

Domingo Paredes has indicated that 533 applications were submitted, but 124 of those submitted have not complied with the obligation to provide the necessary documentation or do not meet any of the requirements demanded in the call.

The mayor of Fomento, Empleo y Desarrollo Local has highlighted that the budget credit of the call, amounting to 313,716 euros, has not been sufficient to meet the total number of applications that meet the necessary requirements, therefore, in accordance with As provided in the twelfth Base of the call, a proportional reduction in the amount of each and every one of the individual aids proposed has been applied in a percentage of 57.78%.
