The Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, accompanied by the Councilor for Tourism and the Councilor for Fiestas, Rosario Martínez and Concha Sala, have presented at FITUR the festivities that focus on December in Torrevieja. Through a video entitled "Once upon a time in December", the more than 50 days that the salt city celebrates its patron saint festivities and the Christmas program have been valued.

It is the first time that the patron saint festivities find a place in this tourist gathering, thus raising it as one more tourist product that the city offers to all visitors during the last month of the year. The video, which begins with the lighting festival, kicks off a program that includes all kinds of events, from the most traditional, such as the procession in honor of the Immaculate Conception, patron saint of Torrevieja, to the parade of Papá Noel, which was held for the first time last year.

Torrevieja wants to highlight with this video that, during the month of December, the program includes numerous activities to enjoy a temperature as pleasant as that of the city in the middle of winter. The neighborhood festivals, the children's parade, as well as the gymakinica or the concerts on the stage of the Plaza de la Constitución, are some of the events that are shown in this spot. All of them accompanied by a brilliant sun that makes Torrevieja a great city to enjoy in any month of the year, including December.
