The Department of Education of the Torrevieja City Council and AGAMED have presented the results of the 50:50 agreement, an initiative based on raising awareness of the need to save on water consumption in Early Childhood and Primary Education schools in Torrevieja.

This project consists of comparing the difference in consumption of each participating school during the years 2021 and 2022 through the analysis carried out by the AGAMED billing department.

From this exhaustive study it has been concluded that, of the 13 participating centers, 8 of them have saved water (Salvador Ruso, Inmaculada, Virgen del Carmen, Ciudad del Mar, Gratiniano Baches, Nuestra Señora del Rosario, Amanecer and La Purísima), increasing this saving to a total of 8,069.83 euros. Of this amount, as a measure to encourage savings in the management of water consumed, AGAMED will reward each participating school with 50% of the amount (4,034.9 euros) in the form of school, didactic or technological material.

Finally, it should be noted that this project to raise awareness of water saving in schools in Torrevieja will continue to be carried out in the coming years thanks to the agreement between the City Council and AGAMED.
