The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the president of ADIEM SENTIT FUNDACIÓN, Gertrudis Marcos, have signed today the concession of Public Domain Asset to the ADIEM building (Asset No. 51 Municipal Inventory), located on Avenida de the Valencian Courts. Thus, the 15-year concession granted on September 16, 2011 in favor of the ADIEM Vega Baja Association, currently owned by ADIEM Fundación de la Comunitat Valenciana, is rendered null and void. From now on the new concession will be for 75 years, including the CRIS building (Center for Rehabilitation and Social Integration) and the annexed part without construction.
The granting of the concession to ADIEM for said property is carried out in order to continue with the management of the CRIS that the ADIEM Association initiated in a first stage and continued by ADIEM Fundación, in a second stage.
Gertrudis Marcos has informed that they have already met with the heads of the General Directorate of Social Services Infrastructures of the Generalitat Valenciana to present the project that includes a Day Center with 30 places and two coexistence units with seven places each (14 in total). All this will mean the integration of new projects with the CRIS and achieve a more agile, sustainable, efficient, social and non-profit management of all the resources in favor of the users residing in this Municipality.
During the concession period, ADIEM will be in charge of providing all the auxiliary, human and material resources to carry out the activity. In addition, the personnel assigned to the service provided will depend exclusively on ADIEM, which must comply with current legal provisions on labor matters, Social Security, safety and hygiene at work, etc.
ADIEM will also be in charge of the cleaning, maintenance and conservation of the property, as well as any repair that is necessary in order to maintain the property in accordance with the destination for which it was granted, which will revert to the benefit of the Torrevieja City Council once it has expired. the concession, that is, within a maximum of 75 years.
Regarding electricity and water expenses that would normally correspond to the concessionaire, as a user of these services, the City Council will assume these expenses, both for the CRIS and for the new construction that will be carried out in the part annexed to the CRIS. Likewise, the Real Estate Tax (IBI) and the Garbage Tax that would also correspond to ADIEM, will be assumed by this City Council.
