This Sunday the last theater show for everyone is represented

The Councilor for Culture and Vice President of the Municipal Institute of Culture "Joaquín Chapaprieta", Antonio Quesada, informs that this coming Sunday, June 18, the last show of "III Theater for everyone" will be represented, where at least once a month children and adults have been able to enjoy works loaded with messages and values such as: environmentalism, friendship, respect, love, art, culture and lots of fun. On Sunday, at 6:30 p.m., at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center, you will be able to witness a very particular puppet show “Las Cotton”. Recommended ages from 5/6 years old, the entrance fee being 5 euros.

The Cottons

Leaving the dangers of their hometown behind, the Cotton family heads to the city in search of new lives and opportunities. Between the roofs and the lights of the city, between the fabrics, the threads and the machines of the factory, the mother and her two daughters will live new adventures. But this time, they are not alone and they will throw themselves into the desire to be happy.

Inspired by the workers' struggles of women in the textile industry at the beginning of the century, "Las Cotton" was born. A visual imaginary through the gaze of a family in the middle of the industrial revolution, to talk about the arrival of industrialization, the exodus to the cities, the harshness of the factory and the great example of those women, who understood that only together they could get decent lives.

Las Cottons is a puppet show. The little ones will enjoy a highly poetic and emotional proposal, which recalls what happened on March 8, 1908.
