The councilor responsible for Ongs and Citizen Participation of the Torrevieja City Council, Trudy Páez, informs that today the deadline for submitting applications for the call for grants to non-profit entities in the field of social action has opened, with the in order to contribute to the cost of the projects carried out during the financial year of the present year 2023. In this way, all the NGOs established in Torrevieja and registered with the City Council at least two years in advance, once again have an opportunity to achieve aid that can contribute to their social purposes.

The deadline for submitting applications will remain open until Thursday, August 3, after having counted the 15 business days from its publication yesterday, July 13, in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP).

It should be noted that the maximum subsidy to be awarded per project and entity, which amounts to 90,000 euros, cannot exceed 80% of the total cost of the project, in which case it will be reduced so as not to exceed that limit. The remaining percentage must be covered by contributions from the entity itself or from other possible financiers, and must be accredited by providing the corresponding documentation.

Trudy Páez has expressed her satisfaction at being able to process these aids within the same current year, that is, that the subsidies will be resolved before the end of this year 2023 and, subsequently, they will be paid to the entities.

The application for the subsidy and its justification will be submitted electronically through the Electronic Office of the Torrevieja City Council.
