Aguas del Arco Mediterráneo SA (AGAMED), the mixed company for the management of integral water cycle services, has executed within the 2023 Investment Plan, the rainwater evacuation network on Avenida San Miguel and Calle Ercina, in the Lago Jardín Urbanization, with an investment amounting to 172,220 euros (VAT included).

The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, accompanied by the councilor for Urban Services, Sandra Sánchez, the manager of AGAMED, Jorge Ballesta, and the deputy manager, Gemma Cruz, once the works have been completed, visited the state in which it has been the execution of this rainwater evacuation network.

It should be noted that the evacuation system in Lago Jardín was generally made up of old networks with small diameters, which had become obsolete over time and therefore required expansion. For all these reasons, a network has been installed that captures rainwater from Avenida San Miguel and leads it to Calle Ercina, thus eliminating flooding problems and improving the current evacuation system.

The water coming from upstream of the CV-95 is received on Avenida San Miguel. This area, since it did not have sufficient rainwater networks, was flooded, causing problems for the residents who live there. For this reason, it was necessary to build this rainwater network, which captures the water upstream of the basin and transports it to its discharge point, guaranteeing adequate flow transport and elimination of existing deficiencies.

For its execution, 105 meters of 400mm PVC PN6 DN pipes, 115 meters of 500mm PVC PN6 DN pipes have been installed, in addition to having resurfaced a total of 1,641 linear meters once the work is finished.
