The Department of Festivals of the Torrevieja City Council has presented the bases with which the process for the election of the new Queen of Salt and her Bridesmaids 2023 / 2024 begins. He does so with thanks in advance to the current queen, Maribel López and to the ladies, Minerva Sinnema and Lucyla Pérez. A court that will continue until the witness is transferred to the next.

The new bases contemplate the election of Corte Salinera that will be in force during the 2032/2024 financial year as the maximum representation of the Torrevieja festivities. In the same figures that all participants must be born in Torrevieja or be registered in the city for the last 5 years, with an age between 18 and 26 years.

The Councilor for Fiestas, Rosario Martínez, has encouraged all the young women to come forward to enjoy this experience "which gives the salt court the opportunity to represent the city wherever it may be required and also to get to know more closely the Torrevieja”.

The deadline for submitting applications is established as Monday, September 18, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. All applications must be delivered to the offices of the Department of Fiestas, located on the 4th floor of the Municipal Theater of Torrevieja. C/ Clemente Gosálvez S/N. Delivery hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

The Department of Fiestas, as usual, will form a jury that will conduct a series of interviews with all the candidates. It is expected that the entire process can culminate with the proclamation of the new Torrevieja salt court, in the weeks prior to the development of the 2023 patron saint festivities.
