The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, accompanied by the Councilor for Sports, Diana Box, received this morning the gymnast Polina Berezina, recently qualified for the next Olympic Games in Paris 2024, after the celebration this week of the World Cup. rhythmic gymnastics held in Valencia.
The official reception ceremony was attended by a large number of the students of the Torrevieja Municipal Rhythmic Gymnastics School, as well as their coaches, led by Mónica Ferrández, Polina Berezina's coach.
Eduardo Dolón has congratulated Polina and has declared that she is a great example of work, dedication and sacrifice for all the girls who are part of the Municipal School, having participated in 7 rhythmic gymnastics world championships and, now, she has achieved the most important thing for an athlete, participating in the Olympic Games.
For her part, Polina Berezina thanked the mayor and the Sports Councilor for this detail and highlighted that the perseverance and sacrifice that for many years has had its reward, being able to be an Olympian. Now, he pointed out, I am going to enjoy this opportunity to the fullest and train tirelessly to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics and be able to do my best.
