Almost 200 people have taken guided tours and workshops at the Natural History Museum on the occasion of the European Researchers' Night

Almost 200 people have carried out the visits and neuroscience workshops organized by the Ars Creatio Cultural Association at the Natural History Museum on the occasion of the European Researchers' Night, and which has had the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the Torrevieja City Council .

  Multiple families, 4th grade students from the CEIP Habaneras and the “La Bella Lola” adult workshop were those who enjoyed the various activities carried out on Friday, September 22 and 29, and Sunday, September 24 and October 1.

Firstly, attendees took a guided tour of the museum by the biologist and scientific disseminator Estefanía Alonso, lasting one hour, in which the biodiversity of Torrevieja and the environmental education necessary to conserve it were made known.

Next, the participants carried out a neuroscience workshop taught by scientist María Luisa Molina, in which they discovered the more human side of research and the great advances that are being made in the study of the brain and the discovery of therapies for pathologies of the nervous system such as Rett syndrome. The success was such that although this workshop had an estimated duration of about 30 minutes, the interest and questions of the attendees extended the workshops even to almost 90 minutes, especially on Sundays, when there was no limited time to return to the workshops. schools.

With these activities organized by Ars Creatio, Torrevieja has joined the almost 400 European cities that celebrate the European Researchers' Night. It has been an activity financed by the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, coordinated by María Luisa Molina and with the collaboration of the Institute of Neurosciences of Alicante and the Department of Culture of the Torrevieja City Council.
