María Teresa Dura, winner of the XXV Quick Painting Contest "City of Torrevieja"

More than fifty painters from different locations in our country participated yesterday, Sunday, October 29, in the XXV Edition of the “City of Torrevieja” Quick Painting Contest.

The judging jury for this edition, made up of Massimo Pisani, Dionisio Gázquez and Martín Noguerol, decided to award the following prizes, worth a total of 5,700 euros.

-First Prize (€3,000):   María Teresa Durá Sepulcre.
-Second Prize (€1,300): Blai Tomás Ibáñez.
-Third Prize (€800): Juan José Valeros Mena.
-Local artist award (€600): Jorge González Gallud.

The awards ceremony took place in the Exhibition Hall of the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center, with the assistance of the Councilor for Culture, Antonio Quesada, the members of the qualifying jury and the teachers of the Municipal School of Painting.

The awarded works will remain in the possession of the Municipal Institute of Culture “Joaquín Chapaprieta” to form part of its cultural heritage, as well as the reproduction rights of the aforementioned works.

Likewise, an exhibition will be held with the awarded and selected works, from October 31 to November 5, which must remain on display until its closing. Non-selected works will be removed by their authors after the awards ceremony.

Finally, the selected works may be removed by presenting the receipt of the work, once the exhibition has ended, from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Within one month, at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center, telephone 96 571 99 00.
