The Municipal Institute of Culture obtains subsidies from the Alicante Provincial Council for the development of cultural activities in Torrevieja

The Councilor for Culture and vice president of the Municipal Institute of Culture “Joaquín Chapaprieta”, José Antonio Quesada, communicates that the Municipal Institute of Culture “Joaquín Chapaprieta” has been granted two subsidies offered by the Hon. Provincial Council of Alicante intended to cover part of the expenses incurred for cultural activities.

On the one hand, the subsidy called “Call for cultural, musical and performing activities 2023” consists of two eligible lines. Line 1, referring to musical performances, the IMC has received 100% of the total expense related to the performance of the dance group “Sliders”, which took place on Paseo Vistalegre on the occasion of International Dance Day on the 30th. April, the subsidized amount being €4,948.9

At the same time, in this same subsidy there is line 2 referring to publications, which has granted the IMC €3,000 in relation to the layout, publication and printing of 10,000 copies of the comic that was created for the 50th Anniversary of the Diego Ramírez Award.

On the other hand, the Hon. Alicante Provincial Council has favorably resolved the subsidy for the music campaign of orchestras and ensembles, dolçaina i tabal, plecto i pua, and choirs, for which it has granted the IMC 49% of the expenses borne by the concert to present the piano of grand cola acquired, by the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra, and which took place on April 8 at the International Auditorium. The amount granted amounts to €4,500.
