The 1st Children's Week celebrated at the UNED Headquarters in Torrevieja

The UNED Classroom in Torrevieja hosted, during the afternoons of November 28 and 29, the I Children's Week Torrevieja 2023. Dozens of boys and girls from the city's schools participated in four fun and revealing workshops emotional intelligence, social intelligence, artistic intelligence and environmental intelligence or sustainable intelligence, taught by Abraham Fernández (teacher-tutor at UNED of Elche), Alejandra Robles (teacher teacher), Matías Antón (director of the Municipal Theater School) and Sefa Mulet (psychologist coordinator of the PsiCE project of the Valencian Community).

The I Week of Childhood is the first activity in Torrevieja of the Chair of Childhood and Adolescence, and of the University Network of Childhood and Adolescence (RUIA), promoted by the UNED and led by the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Thanks to the academic efforts carried out by the UNED of Torrevieja with the director of the Chair and president of the RUIA, Vicente Cabedo, the councilor for Children, Education and Universities, Ricardo Recuero, announced on the 20th the accession of Torrevieja to the Chair of childhood.

The coordinator of the UNED Classroom in Torrevieja, Jesus Christ Riquelme, has scheduled the national meeting of the RUIA, made up of thirty Spanish universities, to be held in our city in the spring of next year.

The UNED Elche-Torrevieja, in its purpose to continue growing as a face-to-face and virtual university campus, offers tutoring for the Early Childhood Education program and numerous cultural extension activities and socio-educational practices.
