The Mayor of Torrevieja meets with the President of the Provincial Council of Alicante

The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, accompanied by the Presidency advisor, José Rubio, was received last Monday at the Provincial Palace of the Alicante Provincial Council by its president, Toni Pérez, with whom he held a working meeting to discuss various cultural, tourist, sports topics and important future and infrastructure projects for our municipality.

Eduardo Dolón and Toni Pérez spoke, among other topics, about the rehabilitation project of the monumental complex of the Eras de la Sal and the new Museum of the Sea and Salt, which has a significant investment from the Provincial Council, as well as the Generalitat Valenciana and the City Council itself.

Likewise, infrastructure issues were discussed such as the public lighting renovation works that the Provincial Council subsidizes and that will be carried out in the city this year 2024.

Another important aspect of the meeting was the financial support of the provincial institution for the national-level sporting events that take place in Torrevieja, and which have been a great success with the public and participation, such as the departures from the city of La Vuelta. In terms of tourism, in addition to renewing the Costa Blanca Tourism subsidy for another year, new future projects were addressed that would be framed in this agreement. In addition, the mayor and the president of the Provincial Council finalized the different actions that will be carried out jointly in the next edition of FITUR, which will be held next week from January 24 to 28 at the IFEMA exhibition center in Madrid.

Eduardo Dolón explained all the projects that are being carried out in the city of Torrevieja and those that will be carried out in the next four years, which will involve an investment of about 100 million euros, for which he has requested financial support from the president of the provincial institution.

Likewise, the mayor conveyed the importance of continuing to support the Consumption Bonus in this year 2024, since it has been a complete success and has shown that it is very beneficial both for the productive sectors of the town and for the citizens.
