This modification is carried out in order to integrate the part corresponding to the ice factory and the area of the old Marina Internacional dock, to harmonize the urban solution of this entire environment in a global manner.

The Local Government Board (JGL) of the Torrevieja City Council has approved this morning the modification of the contract signed with the company PAREDES PEDROSA ARQUITECTOS SLP, winner of the contract for the provision of the drafting service for the Eras de la Salt, which includes the construction of the Museum of the Sea and Salt, the multipurpose venue with the main destination for the celebration of the International Habaneras and Polyphony Contest, as well as its complementary infrastructures and the surrounding urbanization.
This modification of the Salt Eras project is carried out in order to integrate the part corresponding to the ice factory (property of the City Council) and the area of the old slipway of the Marina Internacional Marina in order to achieve harmonization the urban solution of that entire environment in a global way.
Thus, 11,000 square meters of urbanization are included in the project in the area of the Marina Internacional dock, which is the place where the Torrevieja City Council plans to locate the multipurpose auditorium that will host the Habaneras Contest. The amount of this modification of the project amounts to 221,535 euros and its execution period amounts to four months. In this way, the cost of the modified contract goes from 660,660 to 882,195 euros.
In this way, the redefinition of the initially approved physical scope will incorporate:
- The incorporation of the adjacent lot to the ice factory.
- The elimination of the line of action ZA-7 “Floating Museums”.
- The incorporation of the current dock area to house the auditorium.
- The incorporation of the extension of San Julián Street and José Huertas Morión Crossing.
