Los Heretics, champion of the League of Legends Super League in Torrevieja before more than 250,000 viewers on Twitch

The League of Legends Super League, the official competition of the Riot Games game organized by LVP (GRUP MEDIAPRO), closed its historic 25th season last night with the victory of Los Heretics.

The final brought together more than 250,000 viewers on Twitch, between the LVP channel and the co-streaming channel, and surpassed the audience of the last two finals: it grew by 91% compared to the one in spring 2023 and 49% compared to that of summer. In addition, the final could also be followed from YouTube and on the Marca website, the official media of the Super League.

The Municipal Theater of Torrevieja, which had posted the no-ticket sign in a few hours, enjoyed a spectacular match that ended with the second Super League in history for Los Heretics. The new champion suffered much more than expected against Jokers, who always seemed like an uncomfortable rival and who was about to change history in the third map. The final started with an exciting exchange of blows: the first map was clearly heretical, while the second delighted the Torrevieja audience with a joke, the term used by the Navarrese team to define their improbable comebacks.

The key to the match was in the third map, in which Jokers missed the opportunity to get ahead when he had everything in his favor. The Heretics took advantage of several errors by their rival to make the score 2-1 and deal a hard emotional blow to Jokers. The fourth map once again had the green and black color of the heretics, although Manute's men sold their skin very dearly and were about to give the champion a new scare. Led by the Norwegian Jakob “Jackspektra” Kepple, MVP of the match, Los Heretics raised their second league title to the skies of Torrevieja.

The League of Legends day started at 2:00 p.m. around the Municipal Theater of Torrevieja, where LVP set up a fanzone open to the public through which hundreds of people paraded. Attendees were able to follow the final from a viewing party enabled by the Torrevieja City Council, take photos with content creators, participate in raffles, carry out different skill activities and take home prizes, in a sign of the excellent health of the Superliga community. .

Jokers and Los Heretics, protagonists in the EMEA Masters

The two finalists of the Super League will be protagonists in a few days in the spring EMEA Masters, the competition that brings together the best teams from the regional League of Legends leagues in Europe. The Heretics, who have been present in several editions, were champions of the competition in the summer of 2022, while for Jokers it will be their first participation. The entire competition can be seen in Spanish on LVP's Twitch channel starting April 15.
