Convocatoria NEOTEC 2024

The “NEOTEC” Program (NEW BUSINESS PROJECTS FROM INNOVATIVE COMPANIES), managed by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) , has opened the 2024 call , with a total budget of 20 million euros in the form of subsidies, of of which 5 million are protected exclusively for projects led by women.

The purpose of this program is to finance the start-up of new business projects , which require the use of technologies or knowledge developed from research activity and in which the business strategy is based on the development of proprietary technology and in the intensive domain of scientific and technological knowledge, thus contributing to entrepreneurship and accelerating the transfer of knowledge from public research organizations and universities.

Within the framework of the call, and in line with the action initiated in 2022, access to specialized training may also be promoted, which will be provided by the "Enterprise Innovation Institute" of the University of Georgia (USA), to reinforce the training of companies and their possibilities of success in the market.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

Financing the launch of new business projects that require the use of technologies and knowledge developed from research activity and in which the business strategy is based on the development of technology.

Prioritize with a greater intensity of aid those proposals that include the hiring of people with a doctorate degree, in order to reinforce the capacity for generating and absorbing knowledge in companies.

Strengthen support for business projects led by women, to promote equality in entrepreneurship in technology-based companies.

The aid may be used for business projects in any technological and/or sectoral field. However, business models that are mainly based on third-party services, without the development of their own technology, are not suitable for this call.
