Ten municipal workers take office, including six new local police officers.

Last Monday, 6 local police officers (4 agents and 2 officers), a Green Team worker as a replacement and a Chief Heritage Architect took office.

The Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, the Councilor for Personnel and Internal Affairs, María José Ruiz, and the Councilor for Security and Emergencies, Federico Alarcón, attended the swearing-in of 10 new municipal employees in the City Hall's Plenary Hall on Monday, April 14.

Specifically, six local police officers (four constables and two officers), one Green Team replacement worker, and one Chief Heritage Architect have been appointed.

Eduardo Dolón has highlighted the financial efforts Torrevieja City Council has been making in recent years to increase the number of police officers, in order to address the ever-increasing needs in terms of citizen security in our city, which currently has more than 108,000 inhabitants registered in its municipal register.

Finally, the mayor emphasized that the government team's intention is for the Torrevieja Local Police force to have 200 active officers by the end of the current term, in 2027, a significant number to be able to offer all the services that the residents of Torrevieja and the thousands of tourists who visit us each year deserve.

Finally, Mayor Eduardo Dolón, after swearing in the eight new municipal workers, welcomed them and encouraged them to work hard to continue improving the quality of Torrevieja's municipal services.
