Torrevieja celebrates the feast of the Holy Guardian Angels, patron saints of the Local Police, on Thursday, October 2.

The mass in honor of the patron saints of the Police will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, and later, recognitions and merits will be presented to almost 200 officers at the Torrevieja International Auditorium.

Torrevieja will celebrate the feast of the Holy Guardian Angels, patron saints of the Local Police, next Thursday, October 2nd, with a mass ceremony in the Parish of the Immaculate Conception at 6:30 p.m., attended by the Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón; the Councilor for Security and Emergencies, Federico Alarcón; as well as a large part of the members of the Government team and officers and commanders of the Local Police.

During the ceremony, a prayer service for the deceased will be held, and a laurel wreath will be placed at the feet of the statue of the Guardian Angel, while the march "Death is not the end" plays. The celebration concludes with the performance of the Torrevieja Local Police anthem.

Following this, at 8:00 p.m., the awards ceremony for members of the Local Police will take place in the Torrevieja International Auditorium. Approximately 200 officers will receive awards and recognitions for various reasons at this official ceremony.

It's worth noting that this year the Gold Shield will be awarded to the Torrevieja Local Civil Protection Group, which maintains an excellent relationship with the local police force.

To conclude the event, recognition will be given to officers who have served 20, 25, and 35 years in the Torrevieja local police force, as well as to those who have retired over the past year.
