Some investments that are destined to continue in the integral improvement of the infrastructures of the Drinking Water Distribution Network of the Sanitation and Sewage Network and the Stormwater Network of the municipality

The mayor of Torrevieja and president of the Board of Directors of AGAMED, Eduardo Dolón, has informed of the investments approved in the first Council of the year, held in January 2022, to be carried out by Aguas del Arco Mediterráneo with the determination to continue in the improvement of the infrastructures of the Potable Water Distribution Network and the Sanitation and Sewage Network and the Municipal Rainwater Network.
An investment of 2,627,389 euros has been approved for the execution of the works contemplated in this infrastructure plan, with resources from the Renovation and Investment Fund, from the Drinking Water and Sewerage rates.
Eduardo Dolón has highlighted that the actions outlined within this 2022 Infrastructure Plan are the result of the consolidation of the actions designed in previous editions, with the contributions made on more current dates. In this way, the objectives of comprehensive improvement of supply, sanitation and rainwater for the population of Torrevieja are secured.
With regard to the drinking water distribution network , the aim is to improve the infrastructure in the areas where it is deficient, as well as to renew and modify the existing network, in order to improve service conditions such as pressure, supply guarantee and water quality. The total investment with own funds for the current year 2022 amounts to 501,400 euros.
Regarding the Sanitation and Sewage Network , the mayor and president of the Board of Directors of AGAMED has indicated that the evacuation of wastewater flows will be improved, renovating and expanding the existing infrastructures to adapt them to the current needs of the population. , also eliminating the problems of bottlenecks and jams at various points in the urban area and urbanizations, caused by various reasons such as breakages, collapses, infiltrations, insufficient diameters and degradation of the facilities as a result of the passage of time. The investment for the replacement and adaptation of the sewerage network amounts to 600,810 euros.
Likewise, an important action of 420,708 euros is foreseen for the renovation of the sewage network in Calle de las Alondras and Calle de los Jilgueros.
As for the Rainwater Network , the evacuation of rainwater flows will continue to be improved, renovating and expanding the existing infrastructures to adapt them to the current needs of the population, especially working in the Torreta Florida urbanization. The total investment with own funds for the current year 2022 amounts to 1,000,000 euros.
Finally, Eduardo Dolón has announced an investment of 104,470 euros in the renovation of equipment such as the supply and installation of a security, CCTV and intrusion system in AGAMED's offices and Customer Service premises. The installation of a new server with high fault tolerance in the Drinking Water Remote Control System Control Center in the Municipality of Torrevieja, as well as the acquisition of Intouch HISTORIAN Software for installation in the Water Remote Control System Control Center Potable in the Municipality of Torrevieja.
