These are activities of equality between women and men for Primary Education students

The Department of Equality of the City Council of Torrevieja has made available to the educational centers of the town a co-educational project using the traditional game of the goose, but updated and versioned in a gender perspective. It is an interactive teaching material to work on equality between women and men in relation to professions, activities, co-responsibility..., aimed at primary school students.
The participating educational centers will be provided with a link and an access code so that the teaching staff can use them when they need it, or deem it convenient. All the centers will contact the Department of Social Welfare of the City of Torrevieja, to the email address equality@torrevieja.eu .
The mayor of Equality, Tomás Ballester, has highlighted that boys and girls have the right to develop in an egalitarian society where everyone can function fully. Equality between men and women is a value that must be internalized from childhood when gender identity begins to be acquired. Boys and girls acquire in these early stages of their lives norms and values of a specific society: prohibited and permitted behaviors.
Co-education, therefore, added Ballester, is a fundamental tool for achieving equality between women and men, and the school, as a space for socialization, is fundamental, together with families, in order to eliminate the perpetuation of gender roles that entails the maintenance of inequalities and discrimination.
