The Councilor for Education, Ricardo Recuero, has presented the device for the celebration of the Baccalaureate Assessment for University Access (EBAU), which will be held at the Torrevieja International Auditorium, on June 6, 7 and 8 . For the third consecutive year, Torrevieja will be the venue for these exams, Court 10 being designated by the Miguel Hernández University of Elche.

A total of 456 students from 6 educational centers in Torrevieja (Colegio La Purísima, IES Las Lagunas, IES Nº1 Libertas, IES Mare Nostrum, IES Mediterráneo and IES Torrevigía), IES Les Dunes de Guardamar del Segura, IES Los Alcores de San Miguel de Salinas, IES Remedios Muñoz de Los Montesinos, IES Playa Flamenca de Dehesa de Campoamor and IES Thiar del Pilar de la Horadada will meet in our city to hold the university entrance exams in the ordinary call. In the extraordinary call of the EBAU, which will be held on July 4, 5 and 6, around 100 students will be examined.

Ricardo Recuero has indicated that "an organizational, logistical and strategic deployment has been prepared so that everything works accordingly, in addition to good coordination and workflow that will take place over the next few days." Local Police, Civil Protection, Civil Guard, cleaning services, staff from the Torrevieja Auditorium, those responsible for the IES, as well as staff from the Miguel Hernández de Elche University (UMH), together with the Torrevieja City Council, especially members of the Department of Education, Security and Emergencies.

The schedule of the tests will be from 09:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., and from 3:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. In the auditorium, four meeting points have been established, where the heads of the educational centers will meet, who will be in charge of collecting and delivering all the documentation of the students to the court before 8:45 a.m. Each student will receive an accreditation, along with some stickers for taking the tests. When accessing the exams, students must present their DNI or equivalent document, and a copy of the SIP card.

All exams will be held in the auditorium hall, where four entrances have been established, that is, four areas for testing.

• Entrance A (you will enter through entrance A in yellow): IES Les Dunes (Guardamar del Segura), IES Los Alcores (San Miguel de Salinas), IES Libertase IES Remedios Muñoz (Los Montesinos)
• Entrance B (they will enter through entrance B in blue): IES Las Lagunas and Colegio La Purísima (Torrevieja) and IES Playa Flamenca (Dehesa de Campoamor)
• Entrance C (they will access through entrance C in red): IES Mare Nostrum and IES Mediterráneo de Torrevieja
• Entrance D (they will enter through entrance D in green): IES Torrevigía (Torrevieja) and IES Thiar (Pilar de la Horadada)

The accesses to the bathrooms have been enabled at two points, and they will only be accessible before the exams, since they will not be accessible during the development of the tests. Access to the bathrooms will be through auxiliary entrances 1 and 2 enabled for this purpose. The Torrevieja Auditorium will keep the cafeteria open for the students who will take the tests. In addition, for the first time, a study room has been set up that will be available in the Chamber Room of the Auditorium.

The assembly device, which will begin on Monday, is part of the public contract, for two years, to the company Horizonte Musical. The agreement is renewed annually and has involved a total investment of €36,784 (2023/2024).

To carry out the tests, a bus service with 5 collection points is made available to all students, in which an attempt has been made to cover the entire municipality. The points are: Eras de la Sal Interchange, La Veleta (bus stop), Los Balcones (pharmacy), IES Torrevigía and La Mata (Bus stop on Calle Mayor). The departure time will be at 08:00 a.m. and 2:40 p.m., and the return time will be at 1:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. All students will be able to access this service by presenting their school card and proof of enrollment from the EBAU.
