Presented the II Spanish Beach Sprint Championship, which will take place from August 26 to 27 on the beach of Los Náufragos in Torrevieja

The Councilor for Sports of the Torrevieja City Council, Diana Box, accompanied by the World Rowing Champion, Ánder Martín, and the coordinator of the Municipal Rowing School and director of the Torrevieja Rowing Club, Ramón Ferrer, as well as the presence by telematics of the president of the Spanish Rowing Federation, Asunción Lorente; have presented the second edition of the Spanish Rowing Beach Sprint Championship, which will take place on the Torrevieja coast from August 26 to 27.

Diana Box has been very satisfied with the Spanish Rowing Federation for choosing Torrevieja to hold this championship "even more so when we have the five-time world champion, Ánder Martín, a rower who has trained at the Municipal Rowing School and that already has a promising future, as well as numerous rowers from the Real Club Náutico Torrevieja and the Club de Remo Torrevieja.

The more than 300 rowers from all over Spain will compete in this spectacular modality in the cadet, youth, absolute and veteran categories, in the masculine, feminine and mixed modalities. On Saturday, August 26, all the previous rounds and the semifinals of some of the modalities will take place on Los Náufragos beach. Already on Sunday it will be the turn of the pending semifinals, and all the finals.

The trophies will be awarded on Sunday, August 27, to the three best classified in each of the categories and modalities. In addition, the club that obtains the best medal table in all the women's modalities of this Championship will receive the “Iberdrola Trophy”, which will be awarded at the medal ceremony.

Finally, it should be noted that in September it will be confirmed that this modality of rowing will become an Olympic sport at the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 2028.
