Ukraine reinforces its position as the leading foreign nationality, followed by Russia, Colombia, and the United Kingdom. More than 55% of Torrevieja's population is between 30 and 69 years old, with a balance maintained between men and women. The international population has increased in the last year, rising from 55,390 to 59,205 residents, representing a considerable growth of 3,815 people.

The main objective of this initiative is to promote and consolidate gastronomy as a first-rate tourist resource and an excellent tourist product throughout the Valencian Community.

Torrevieja City Council's Councilor for Beaches, Antonio Vidal, reports that the Assisted Bathing Service will remain in operation until September 14th, both in the morning (10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) and in the afternoon (3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.).

This is a comprehensive service that guarantees the cleaning, maintenance and repair of the fixed wooden toilets and the new self-cleaning toilets installed along busy areas of the municipality. The Councilor for Beaches, Antonio Vidal, highlights the important reinforcement of public services on the coast with a more comprehensive, modern contract tailored to the real needs of Torrevieja.

Starting tomorrow, Thursday, March 6, appointments will be made available to citizens for processing new registrations and changes of address, through the electronic headquarters of the Torrevieja City Council.

In addition, the beaches of Torrevieja have received recognition from the Jury for the Special Mention in “Environmental Education”

A registration period has been opened until March 15 at www.controlaclub.org or www.servicioresponsable.org, so that any hospitality or nightlife company in the city can obtain the program badge and enter the Network of Establishments Torrevieja officials

Remind all citizens that prior appointments to obtain the voucher in person can be picked up tomorrow, Tuesday, November 28, and on Wednesday, November 29, at the Commerce Office, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

It should be noted that in just seven months, from January to July 2023, a total of 1,168 Ukrainians have been registered in the city, mainly due to the Russian invasion in this country, which began in February 2022.

The Councilor for Beaches, Antonio Vidal, has announced that the city of Torrevieja will celebrate this coming Friday, June 23, the traditional night of Bonfires of San Juan on its beaches. Vidal has reported that there are many citizens of Torrevieja who enjoy this popular festival on our beaches and which serves as the starting signal for summer, becoming a special party enjoyed by both young and old.
