In the Extraordinary Plenary Session held today, the modification of credits to the 2024 Budget of the Torrevieja City Council, which amounts to 13,970,791 euros, and of the “Joaquín Chapaprieta” Municipal Institute of Culture, for an amount of 330,000 euros, was initially approved. In total, a budget modification of 14,300,791 euros, which included votes in favor of the Municipal Group of the Popular Party and VOX and votes against the PSOE and Sueña Torrevieja.

Experts in the different disciplines will teach four programs starting next October after the inauguration of the new 2024-2025 academic year. The Open University is a teaching initiative resulting from the existing collaboration between the UNED and the Torrevieja City Council in terms of training.

Through the acronym “Occupation”, “Leadership” and “Accompaniment”, the OLA Program in Torrevieja has served 18 people, with a participant profile associated with that of a woman, between 31 and 45 years old.

In addition, new interim officials have taken office to reinforce and also create new work areas within the City Council, especially in the Department of Social Welfare.

The future building will also have training classrooms, a university study room and multipurpose rooms, as well as the Office of the Department of Commerce, the Office of the Open Urban Shopping Center, the premises of the Local Development Agency (ADL) and its classrooms. specific for training and spaces to promote employment, in addition to creating multipurpose spaces for young people on the third floor (concert halls, rehearsals and/or meetings of youth associations)
