The Councilor for Sports of the Torrevieja City Council, Diana Box Alonso, reports on the work that is being carried out for the improvement and conditioning of the facilities of the Sports City. This is the outdoor track popularly known as "La Mosquitera", in which a comprehensive repair has been carried out that has consisted of a new paving, expansion of walls for balconies of the funds, repair of railings of the stands and metal meshes of the rear parts, renovation of basketball baskets and handball / futsal goals and new painting of the stands and the marking of the track.

The contract for the 17 vehicles has involved a municipal investment of 702,000 euros, divided into four years, being about 175,000 euros per year with VAT included.

A sailing regatta that was born with the intention of remembering the figure of Gil Rebollo, a former councilman of the Torrevieja City Council and a person closely linked to the Marina Internacional Sports Port through sailing and sport fishing, two of his great passions. Eduardo Gil died in August 2020 and from this year it is intended to honor him with this regatta that will continue throughout the years.

The total amount approved is 350,000 euros for the subsidy of sports clubs and 20,800 euros for the subsidy of sporting events and activities

A solidarity tournament in which 61 teams and 620 players will participate, in male and female categories in Senior (+16), cadet, children and youngsters, as well as the APANEE Adapted Sports Club (CADA).
