For the fourth consecutive year, the subject of Architectural Projects of the University of Alicante (UA) returns to focus its gaze on the city of Torrevieja. Thanks to the Departments of Education and Tourism of the City Council and the University of Alicante Headquarters in the town, this year a new intergenerational team of architects, teachers and students project on the opportunities offered by the city of Torrevieja and its tourist ecosystem, in what they have titled as “Torrevieja Grand Tour”.

The Councilor for Education of the City Council of Torrevieja, Ricardo Recuero, together with representatives of AGAMED, the ARS CREATIO association and students from 16 to 18 years of Professional Training in Agricultural Gardening and Floral Compositions from the IES MARE NOSTRUM, have participated in the heritage recovery project of the vineyards in La Mata, which has been developed this morning in the Natural Park of La Mata in front of the cemetery of this district of Torrevieja.

Among the next projects that the City Council of Torrevieja will maintain with the FAPA Gabriel Miró, possible collaboration agreements are included to favor the development of the activities of the educational community. Likewise, Ricardo Recuero has informed them of the School Absenteeism Plan that the Department of Education will present shortly, and has explained the actions foreseen in the Edificant Plan with an investment of more than 12 million euros, and that they will be developed at IES Libertas, IES Las Lagunas, IES Torrevigía and Colegio Público Virgen del Carmen.

The Councilor for Education, Ricardo Recuero, reports that the City Council of Torrevieja has approved this morning in the Informative Commission, the delegation of powers to the Generalitat Valenciana of 4 of the 15 actions planned in the EDIFICANT PROGRAM. These important actions, which represent an investment amounting to a total of 12,110,652 euros, will be developed at IES Libertas, IES Las Lagunas, IES Torrevigía and Colegio Público Virgen del Carmen.

A total of 1,190 luminaires will be replaced thanks to a subsidy of 912,620 euros granted by the Alicante Provincial Council.The new LED luminaires have an energy saving forecast of 53%, which will mean the saving of more than 70,000 euros in monetary value yearly on the electricity bill

The Councilor for Education of the Torrevieja City Council, Ricardo Recuero, has released this morning the data for the start of the 2021/2022 school year, which will begin next Wednesday, September 8, with a total of 10,662 students / as and with 100% presence of students in the classrooms. -Children's students: 1878 students. 83 units -Primary students: 4456 students. 183 units -Secondary students: 2,895 students. 106 units -Baccalaureate and FP: 1433 students. 36 Recuero units highlighted that throughout the school year the health measures for the prevention of COVID-19 will be maintained, such as the daily cleaning service during school hours, the COVID-19 health advice to schools, and 12,000 masks will be distributed by all the centers of the town.

The Councilor for Education, Ricardo Recuero, presented this morning the device prepared for the celebration of the Baccalaureate Assessment for University Access (EBAU), which will be held for the first time at the International Auditorium of the city of Torrevieja, on June 8, 9 and 10.
