The Mixed Company Aguas del Arco Mediterráneo (AGAMED), has reported on the evolution of water consumption in the city of Torrevieja in the period between June and July 2021, compared to the consumption of 2020 and 2019.

The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, accompanied by councilors from the Government team and the spokesperson for Citizens, has discovered this morning on the Paseo Marítimo de Juan Aparicio, one of the most emblematic places of the city, a monolith in homage to all the victims of Covid-19, which bears the inscription: "Torrevieja to the victims of Covid - 19. You left alone, but you will remain forever in our memory."

The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the councilor for Quality of Urban Services, Sandra Sánchez, accompanied by the manager of AGAMED, Jorge Ballesta and the deputy manager, Gemma Cruz, have met this morning with the representatives of the residents of the Torreta Florida urbanization, to inform them of the upcoming start of the rainwater works that are going to be undertaken in this area.

These six new officials will work in various departments of the City Council for a period of one year, counting from their inauguration, or, where appropriate, until the definitive coverage is produced by the legally established procedure, or by reinstatement of its holder , and with a maximum limit of three years.

Among other activities, highlights the development of in-depth interviews with personalities from the public, cultural and social sphere of the town; the organization of group dynamics with representatives of the local associative fabric, as well as the holding of internal work tables with technical staff of the City Council

It will be next Sunday, August 1, and due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the organization has been forced to suppress the programming of all events that favored the largest concentration of the public, such as dances, gift raffles and the procession through the streets of the Plaza del Calvario area.

The mayor has informed that the acquisition of these four vans is included in the lease for a period of four years of a total of 17 vehicles (12 vehicles and 5 vans), fully equipped with the latest technologies in safety and efficiency. The contract for the 17 vehicles has involved a municipal investment of 702,000 euros, divided into four years, being about 175,000 euros per year with VAT included.

This roundabout has been embellished with a total of 28 flamingos, approximately 2 meters high, with a 10-centimeter relief carved in polystyrene and fiberglass on its exterior finish. A fence of approximately 30 meters in length has also been executed that surrounds the entire base of the monument as a visual of the whole. The total investment has amounted to 18,500 euros.

Last Sunday, coinciding with the inauguration of the International Habaneras and Polyphony Contest, the lighting of the new pergola lighting of this central Torrevieja promenade was carried out. The installation has been carried out on the lower part of the metal beams of the pergola, with a flexible aluminum, lacquered in white, which has inside the led strip with a quantity of 180 LEDs per linear meter, being approximately 600 meters the that have been placed. The chosen led strip produces a linear light effect so that the individual spot of illuminated led is not seen.

The Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, signed yesterday the decree for the Tourist Office located in Paseo Vista Alegre to be Collaborating Information Point (PIC) of the Natural Park of Lagunas de La Mata and Torrevieja, within the agreement of collaboration between Turisme Comunitat Valenciana and the Torrevieja City Council for the development of the Tourist Info program, through the maintenance in said network of the tourist information offices of the city.

During the first spawns a total of 9 chickens were born, while in the second spawns there have been 4 more chickens that have managed to get ahead. In short, 13 new plovers were born in the "Molino del Agua" Municipal Natural Area during 2021.

The Torrevieja University Venue opens tomorrow, Wednesday, July 14, at 9:00 am, the summer course "The Pink Lagoon of Torrevieja: potential applications of its microorganisms", which will end on Thursday, July 15.

A sailing regatta that was born with the intention of remembering the figure of Gil Rebollo, a former councilman of the Torrevieja City Council and a person closely linked to the Marina Internacional Sports Port through sailing and sport fishing, two of his great passions. Eduardo Gil died in August 2020 and from this year it is intended to honor him with this regatta that will continue throughout the years.

The vice mayor of the Torrevieja City Council, Rosario Martínez Chazarra, the delegate of the Orihuela Bar Association in Torrevieja, Benito Sánchez Martos, and the delegate of the Duty Shift, Vanesa Ruiz Aranda, have deployed this morning, on the balcony of the Town Hall, a banner commemorating the Free Justice Day and the Duty Shift.
