The City Council is enhancing the town's urban image by planting flowers in various locations throughout the city to mark the arrival of spring and the celebration of Holy Week.

This urban space improvement project is carried out through tree planting, furniture renovation, and maintenance work to enhance its functionality and environmental quality.

A significant number of seagulls, swifts, kestrels, etc. also entered the Municipal Shelter and, with the collaboration of the municipal biologist, were transferred to the "Santa Faz" Wildlife Recovery Center in Alicante.

The work being carried out includes a thorough cleaning of the structures, the removal of accumulated sediment, the inspection of the operating systems, and the repair of small cracks detected in some of the fountains.

The park, with an area of 30,000 m2, is consolidating its position as a space designed for family leisure, reinforcing its character as a meeting point and landmark for children within the municipality. From different points, and especially from the viewpoint, it will be possible to contemplate the Torrevieja salt lagoon, the La Mata salt lagoon and the Mediterranean Sea.

The students come from three continents: Europe, Africa and Asia, thus providing a cross-section of Torrevieja's current society.
