The contract will be awarded through an open procedure, evaluating both the offered fee and the quality of the investment, operation, and management project, as well as the proven experience in managing markets or similar facilities. The concession is granted for a period of 10 years, with the possibility of two one-year extensions. The City Council is allocating €150,000 in aid to the merchants of the Mercado de Abastos (Central Market) affected by the works.

On November 14th and 15th, appointments to purchase vouchers in person will be available at the Apymeco Office, located at 145 Ramón Gallud Street. A total of 3,400 appointments will be distributed starting at 9:00 AM. In-person sales of vouchers for this eleventh edition will take place from November 18th to 26th, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. There will be no sales on Saturday, November 22nd. Vouchers can be redeemed at participating businesses from November 24th to December 31st (inclusive).
