The Department of the Presidency together with the Department of International Residents of the Torrevieja City Council organizes, in commemoration of Europe Day 2024, a special gala at the International Auditorium that will feature a performance by David Civera, who participated in Eurovision in 2001 with the song “Tell her I love her”, achieving a creditable 6th position.

Aimed at citizens, SMEs and groups potentially interested in the energy transition, including property managers, real estate developers, associations or entities representing women, older people and young people, and citizens in general. A coffee will follow to chat and have the opportunity to speak with the speaker.

During the months of April and May, the prestigious doctor Teresa Sánchez Albarracín develops the course Art, a surprise for the senses at UNED Torrevieja. The Headquarters of the University of Alicante in Torrevieja and the Department of Education of the Torrevieja City Council organize two new courses of the Permanent University of the UA. The Permanent University of the University of Alicante is a scientific, cultural and social development program aimed at promoting science and culture, at the same time as intergenerational relations, to improve the quality of life of older people and encourage the participation of these in their context as social dynamizers.

The new school has an investment of 7.3 million euros and includes the construction of 6 Early Childhood Education units, 12 Primary Education units, a dining room for 400 people in two shifts, a gym and spaces adapted to offer all the educational services required by community

Last Friday, February 23, a total of 18 Comincrea Master students, from Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, China, Colombia, Cuba, France and Spain, toured iconic and representative spaces of Havana in Torrevieja, with the aim to feed the conceptualization and design of the exhibition on which they have been working since last year.

A registration period has been opened until March 15 at www.controlaclub.org or www.servicioresponsable.org, so that any hospitality or nightlife company in the city can obtain the program badge and enter the Network of Establishments Torrevieja officials

In addition, new interim officials have taken office to reinforce and also create new work areas within the City Council, especially in the Department of Social Welfare.
