The service will be expanded with ten new licenses in the coming months, eight of which are soon to be awarded and two are in process, for a total of 16 new licenses.

The project will improve accessibility, reorganize the transport network, and adapt the infrastructure to the new concession.

The students come from three continents: Europe, Africa and Asia, thus providing a cross-section of Torrevieja's current society.

Vehicles may park for a maximum of two hours, with parking controlled by the Local Police license plate reader. Outside of these hours, parking will be prohibited, and starting next Monday, July 7, anyone who fails to comply with the signs will be fined by the local police.

The overall action will involve an estimated municipal investment of one million euros, and will involve the adaptation and landscaping of this entire space for the enjoyment of citizens.

The maximum individual amount of aid will be 75 euros per month for those students who use school transport 2 trips per day, for a maximum period of 10 months, between September 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024.

The Councilor for Local Police, Mobility and Traffic, Federico Alarcón, reports that intelligent traffic signals are already working in order to increase road safety in some parts of the city of Torrevieja. In this way, they have been placed in different locations on Avenida Gregorio Marañón and Avenida Desiderio Rodríguez, among others.
