The opening address for Carnival 2026, featuring Susi Caramelo, will take place on Friday, January 30th, at the Municipal Theater. The Carnival King and Queen Coronation Gala will have two performances on Saturday, January 31st, also at the Theater. Both are nearly sold out. Irreverent humor with Ilustres Ignorantes is also nearly sold out for Saturday the 31st, but at the International Auditorium. The weekend culminates with the comedy and reflection of Joaquín Caserza and his show about mental health, on Sunday, February 1st, at the Municipal Theater.

BIGSOUND, Low Festival and Brilla Torrevieja reinforce the city's commitment to music as a cultural, tourist and economic driver

The program will run throughout 2026 with exhibitions, conferences and concerts that will pay tribute to one of the most important figures in Torrevieja's music scene.

The health centers in this pilot project were La Loma and El Acequión, both in Torrevieja, as well as the one in Pilar de la Horadada. The project has transformed four key spaces: waiting room, breastfeeding room, pediatric consultation room and nursing consultation room, each with a different illustration that forms part of the same visual universe.

On Saturday the 20th, Jorge Luengo invites you to dream with his magic show “Daydreams,” also at the Municipal Theater. On Sunday the 21st, UMT sells out its Christmas Concert “Symphonic Gospel” at the International Auditorium. Also on Sunday, the mystery comedy “Finish Me Off Again” brings together a top-notch cast at the Municipal Theater.

BIGSOUND launches a special discount for city residents: passes from €45, for a limited time only. The Councillor for Youth, Domingo Paredes, stated that “it is extraordinary news for Torrevieja to be able to announce the addition of an artist of María Becerra’s international stature to the BIGSOUND Torrevieja 2026 lineup. We are talking about one of the most influential figures in Latin music today, with a huge connection to young audiences.”

The musicals “Tarzan” and “The Sound of Music”, along with major stage productions such as “Road to Mecca” and “Parallel Madness”; in addition to the comedy by Eva Soriano, Wilbur, Aguilera & Mení, Edu Soto, Joaquín Caserza, “Illustrious Ignorants” and “Cut the Red Wire”; the opera La Bohème, the concerts by Sidecars, the Film Symphony Orchestra, the tribute “Pulsar to Floyd”, and other varied shows with local talent, make up the program for the January-April 2026 season of Cultura Torrevieja.

The city's cultural agenda will be packed in the coming days with six top-level events at the International Auditorium and the Municipal Theatre: the symphonic-electronic show DJ Symphonic & Royal Concert Orchestra, the now-traditional Flamenco Encounter “City of Torrevieja”, a new edition of Flamenco & Sal, the traditional Santa Cecilia concert by the UMT, the international production Harry On Ice, and the moving Tribute Gala to “Peperrín”.
