This Friday morning, the Torrevieja City Council (CdT) awarded the 2024 Comprehensive Destination Tourism Quality System (SICTED) distinctions in recognition of the efforts and commitment to the quality of our city's tourism services.

Experts in the different disciplines will teach four programs starting next October after the inauguration of the new 2024-2025 academic year. The Open University is a teaching initiative resulting from the existing collaboration between the UNED and the Torrevieja City Council in terms of training.

The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón and the mayor of Benejúzar, Vicente Cases, together with the Councilor for Tourism of Torrevieja, Rosario Martínez and councilors for Tourism from the municipalities of Los Montesinos, Orihuela and Benejúzar, have presented the Camino de Santiago at FITUR Salt. A route that arises from the desire to extend the Camino de Santiago del Sureste towards the Mediterranean Sea. So the Iberian Peninsula is crossed diagonally from the Mediterranean to Santiago de Compostela and the Atlantic Ocean in Finisterre.

The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, together with the Councilor for Tourism, Rosario Martínez and the co-founder of Oxytours, Fran Lucha, have presented the Guided Hiking and Environmental Education activities in our municipality, which includes guided routes in the Natural Park of the La Mata and Torrevieja Lagoons and the Molino del Agua Municipal Natural Park, together with educational and environmental information activities in Primary schools, as well as in the coves and beaches of Torrevieja.
