The Headquarters of the University of Alicante in Torrevieja and the Department of Education of the Torrevieja City Council organize two new courses of the Permanent University of the UA. The Permanent University of the University of Alicante is a scientific, cultural and social development program aimed at promoting science and culture, at the same time as intergenerational relations, to improve the quality of life of older people and encourage the participation of these in their context as social dynamizers.

The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, has reported that after the drafting of the project, the works will be put out to tender and, subsequently, will be awarded, so it is expected that throughout the current year 2024 they can begin to be executed.

The new school has an investment of 7.3 million euros and includes the construction of 6 Early Childhood Education units, 12 Primary Education units, a dining room for 400 people in two shifts, a gym and spaces adapted to offer all the educational services required by community

Among the new features that the pavilion will have, its ground floor may have a gym of more than 100 m2, in addition to two multipurpose rooms of 95 m2 each, which could be unified, and which will allow hosting meetings and social and cultural activities.

The awards ceremony will be held at the Municipal Theater on Wednesday, March 27, at 8:00 p.m., coinciding with World Theater Day, where in addition to the awards ceremony there will be a reading of the manifesto by the professor, director and actor Antonio de Béjar

Teams made up of players from a total of 10 countries will participate in this edition: Spain, Paraguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Cape Verde, Romania, Ukraine, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay

Each beneficiary of the aid will be able to collect a maximum of 400 euros, with the City Council having a budget item allocated for this purpose of 534,092.50 euros.
