In this fourth edition, 80 scholarships will be awarded to elementary school students at the "Francisco Casanovas" Professional Music Conservatory in Torrevieja.

The event served to consolidate Torrevieja as a living laboratory for tourism innovation, where the intelligent use of data is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and with a more integrated and resilient vision of the territory.

The new building will have capacity for 430 students and 50 AGAMED workers, in two completely different spaces. The mayor has highlighted that the integration of the three universities in the University Headquarters of Torrevieja (UA, UMH and UNED) demonstrates that it is possible to collaborate together and open up to all of them to offer the best offer and services to the students of our city. It is expected that by the end of this year the entire building will be fully completed and during the first quarter of 2026, once it has been equipped, it will be opened.

The course, which will take place from June 9 to 14, can be taken online and synchronously via Meet or in person in the classroom at the UA Headquarters in Torrevieja, located on the second floor of the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center.

The contract covers the maintenance of 362 public spaces, including parks, gardens, squares, sports areas and play areas, totaling more than 2 million square metres, which represents an increase of 800,000 square metres compared to the areas currently maintained, which amount to 1.2 million square metres.

In the period from 2019 to 2025, there has been an increase in the school population of 50.12%, much higher than the population increase in the municipal register.

The base budget for the project's tender amounts to 209,760 euros (VAT included), with the planned investment for the execution of the works to adapt and expand the IES Libertas amounting to 3,149,262 euros.

This morning, Torrevieja City Councilor for Education, Ricardo Recuero, presented the 2nd Educational Guidance Fair "Oriéntate," which will be held at the Torrevieja International Auditorium on April 1, 2, and 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The city of Torrevieja will join Earth Hour next Saturday, March 22nd, with the switching off of public lighting in five iconic squares: Plaza de la Constitución, Plaza Miguel Hernández, Plaza del Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen, Plaza de Oriente, and Plaza de Encarnación Puchol de La Mata. All lights in these squares will remain off from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
