Carnival 2026 officially kicks off tomorrow, Friday, January 30th, with the opening proclamation and the premiere of the documentary film "Carnival 2025," which will take place at the Torrevieja Municipal Theatre. The Torrevieja Carnival is establishing itself as one of the most spectacular and well-attended festive events in the Valencian Community.

This is the second time that the Torrevieja Carnival has paraded alone through the center of the Spanish capital, following an emblematic route from Plaza de Callao, Calle Preciados, Puerta del Sol, Arenal and Plaza de Isabel II

The presentation of this event at FITUR reinforces the City Council's commitment to Carnival as a tourism product, highlighting the Drag Queen Gala as a unique, inclusive event with national reach. Among the most anticipated performances is that of Drag Sethlas, two-time winner of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Drag Queen Gala and winner of Drag Race Spain.

Registrations can be made through the electronic headquarters in the section "Application for Participation “Prizes for the Grand Carnival Parade Competition 2026"

The route will run along Paseo Vista Alegre, Clemente Gosálvez, Ramón Gallud, Zoa, Caballero de Rodas, and will end in Plaza de la Constitución, at the doors of the Archpriest Church of the Immaculate Conception. Their Majesties the Three Kings have sent an official note to the Torrevieja City Council indicating that they will arrive, as usual, and that the distribution of all gifts will take place during the early morning of the 5th. They will also be able to say goodbye to everyone at the Three Kings Parade on the 6th, starting at 5:00 PM, which will be held in its usual format, adapted to any unforeseen circumstances.

They will dock at the port from where the procession will depart for the doors of the parish of the Immaculate Conception of Torrevieja

BIGSOUND launches a special discount for city residents: passes from €45, for a limited time only. The Councillor for Youth, Domingo Paredes, stated that “it is extraordinary news for Torrevieja to be able to announce the addition of an artist of María Becerra’s international stature to the BIGSOUND Torrevieja 2026 lineup. We are talking about one of the most influential figures in Latin music today, with a huge connection to young audiences.”

Festivities, youth, sports, and commerce come together to create a unique Christmas experience.

The city's cultural agenda will be packed in the coming days with six top-level events at the International Auditorium and the Municipal Theatre: the symphonic-electronic show DJ Symphonic & Royal Concert Orchestra, the now-traditional Flamenco Encounter “City of Torrevieja”, a new edition of Flamenco & Sal, the traditional Santa Cecilia concert by the UMT, the international production Harry On Ice, and the moving Tribute Gala to “Peperrín”.

Miriam Córdoba and Sara Toribio will accompany the new Queen as Ladies of the Salt in an event that marks the beginning of the Patron Saint Festivities in honor of La Purísima

Participants can register until November 26th, and the allocation of spaces in the Antonio Soria Park will be in order of presentation of applications through the Electronic Office of the City Council or in the General Registry (PROP OFFICE)

Rosario Martínez and Domingo Paredes present the arrival of the festival as a new boost for tourism and culture in the city. Low Festival lands in Torrevieja to begin a new chapter for the biggest festival in the province. Today, the first twelve confirmed artists were announced, marking the start of the #Low2026 lineup. The organizers have announced a special 50% discount on tickets for residents of Torrevieja, who can get their discounted pass only until November 30th, or earlier if the quota sells out.
