Environmental educators visited the festival areas, encouraging residents to recycle glass to meet the recycling challenge set by Ecovidrio. The residents of Torrevieja recycled a total of 3,153,867 kilograms of glass containers. This means that each resident recycled an average of 31.4 kilograms of glass. Torrevieja has an average of 100 inhabitants per container, and currently has a total of 996 glass recycling containers installed throughout the municipality.

This morning, the Local Government Board of Torrevieja City Council awarded, through an open procedure subject to harmonized regulations, the contract for the acquisition, maintenance, and installation of vertical signage for the municipality of Torrevieja to AKRA SEÑAL, SL, for a sum of €424,710, VAT included. This contract will be valid for one year, with the possibility of a one-year extension.
