The redevelopment of Los Locos beach will create more green spaces, pedestrian areas, trees, street furniture including children's play areas and outdoor fitness areas. The project involves over 1,100 meters of coastal pedestrianization and covers a total area of 21,044.75 square meters.

Thanks to this distinction, Torrevieja will be able to join the Innpulso Network along with 127 other Spanish cities.

A total of 327,529 m2 of surface area will be resurfaced on streets and avenues in Torrevieja. The works include the construction of a new deceleration lane that will provide direct access from the CV-95 to the Torrevieja University Hospital, in order to alleviate congestion on the current access route via the roundabout.

The project, with a seven-month execution period, will allow for the renewal and adaptation of road infrastructure and paving, the improvement of urban service networks, and the increase in the safety and functionality of public space.

The company ORIGEN MURCIA, SA will manage the space for 10 years with an investment of nearly one million euros. The City Council guarantees the continuity of the traditional market and opens a new process to define the uses of the upper floors.

The works have been awarded by the Local Governing Board to the company Construcciones Hermanos Espín SL for an amount of 640,211 euros

The competition includes the performance of a required piece, “REINA DE LA SAL” (Queen of Salt), with lyrics by Pilar Páez and music by Aurelio Martínez. This element ensures technical fairness among participants and raises the artistic level of the contest.

The Torrevieja City Council has formalized the final acceptance of the repaving and repair works of the Levante Dike, a strategic action that has allowed the complete renovation of one of the most representative spaces of the city's seafront.

The redevelopment includes pedestrianization and connection to the Punta Margalla promenade from the confluence of Avenida de la Purísima with Calle La Sal to Av. Roentgen

The Barrios program, funded by Next GenerationEU, includes the energy rehabilitation of the Torresal, Colonia San Esteban and Portalicos areas, as well as the redevelopment of Colonia San Esteban.

The works to be carried out on the 6 buildings included in this area, in addition to addressing the structural damage to these housing blocks, aim for an energy improvement of between 45% and 60%.

The execution period will be 4 months from the signing of the works layout report, which will allow the improvements to be operational in a short period of time

The partial opening includes the section from the "Bella Lola" plateau/viewpoint to the next plateau towards the lighthouse, with an approximate length of another 250 meters.

The contract will be awarded through an open procedure, evaluating both the offered fee and the quality of the investment, operation, and management project, as well as the proven experience in managing markets or similar facilities. The concession is granted for a period of 10 years, with the possibility of two one-year extensions. The City Council is allocating €150,000 in aid to the merchants of the Mercado de Abastos (Central Market) affected by the works.
