The mayor of Torrevieja and president of the Board of Directors of AGAMED, Eduardo Dolón, has informed of the investments approved in the first Council of the year, held in January 2022, to be carried out by Aguas del Arco Mediterráneo with the determination to continue in the improvement of the infrastructures of the Potable Water Distribution Network and the Sanitation and Sewage Network and the Municipal Rainwater Network.

According to the statistical data on population and evolution of the Municipal Register of the City Council, the city of Torrevieja has started the year 2022 with a total of 87,901 registered inhabitants, of which 49,807 (56.6%) are of Spanish origin, while the rest , 38,094 (43.4%) come from abroad.

AGAMED, the mixed economy company formed by the Torrevieja City Council and Hidraqua, has signed a collaboration agreement with Alimentos Solidarios Torrevieja to launch an initiative to help those most vulnerable groups and promote sustainability among citizens. The company agrees to donate 1 euro to Alimentos Solidarios for each client who requests the digital invoice before June 5, 2022, World Environment Day.

The councilor secretary of the Local Government Board (JGL) of the Torrevieja City Council, Federico Alarcón, has reported that the Government Meeting held this morning has approved the contract file for the maintenance, conservation and repair of public roads of the Torrevieja municipal area, especially those that are part of the traffic road and sidewalks, and also including pedestrian paths and, in general, elements of public domain and use that the PGOU qualifies as such, whether they are urbanized or not, excluding the areas green that in the same way the PGOU qualifies as such, except for those services that are already included in some other maintenance contract (public lighting, traffic lights, road signs etc ...).

The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the Councilor for Quality of Urban Services, Sandra Sánchez, have visited this morning together with residents of the urbanization, the construction works of an accessible pedestrian walkway between the nearby cul-de-sac to Joaquín García Sánchez street, at the confluence with the Jardín del Mar III Urbanization, an area known as Doña Inés, due to the obvious need to transit through an area with a significant drop of 1.5 meters.
