An industrial engineer for a Temporary Employment Program, a laborer assigned to the Youth Department, and a pending Stabilization laborer for Parks and Gardens have also taken office.

The contract will last for one year with the possibility of a one-year extension. The base tender budget is €500,000 for 12 months, meaning the total contract value will be €1 million.

The duration of the contract will be four years plus a possible one-year extension, with the base tender budget being 1,198,143 euros (VAT included).

Alejandro Morer, who took up his new position this morning, has held the position of Superintendent of the Local Police until now, being in charge in recent years of the Economic and Contracting Area of the Police.

The study, called EDAP 2024, will be carried out from today, Tuesday, May 7, to June 2, 2024, and consists of carrying out a total of 16 random alcohol and drug tests on drivers during this period of time. The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the Councilor for Security and Emergencies, Federico Alarcón, accompanied by the manager of the concessionaire company (EYSA), Javier Basoco, visited the new Municipal Vehicle Depot this morning, located in a land owned by the City Council with a surface area of 7,000 square meters, between the Fire Station, the Ecopark and the Municipal Animal Shelter.

With this new work team, the aim is to reinforce control over the service itself and detect breaches by some companies and citizens on a daily basis, and which are included in the Municipal Urban Cleaning Ordinance, with infractions ranging from 50-750 euros.

The Councilor for Urban Cleaning of the Torrevieja City Council, Diana Box Alonso, reports that Acciona, the company awarded the waste collection, landfill transport, street cleaning and coastal cleaning and maintenance service, has already begun the implementation of the new equipment of underground containers to house the remaining fraction.

The program will be carried out in all primary and secondary schools in the city and will be structured in the 2022/2023 academic year, beginning in September and ending before June.
