The Alto de la Casilla Urban Park is consolidating its position as a space designed for family leisure, reinforcing its character as a meeting point and a landmark for children within the municipality. From different points, and especially from the viewpoint, you can contemplate the Torrevieja salt lagoon, the La Mata salt lagoon and the Mediterranean Sea.

The meeting addressed various lines of work, including the organization of cultural and festive activities, the improvement of neighborhood coexistence, as well as issues related to the urban and environmental environment.

Carnival 2026 officially kicks off tomorrow, Friday, January 30th, with the opening proclamation and the premiere of the documentary film "Carnival 2025," which will take place at the Torrevieja Municipal Theatre. The Torrevieja Carnival is establishing itself as one of the most spectacular and well-attended festive events in the Valencian Community.

The opening address for Carnival 2026, featuring Susi Caramelo, will take place on Friday, January 30th, at the Municipal Theater. The Carnival King and Queen Coronation Gala will have two performances on Saturday, January 31st, also at the Theater. Both are nearly sold out. Irreverent humor with Ilustres Ignorantes is also nearly sold out for Saturday the 31st, but at the International Auditorium. The weekend culminates with the comedy and reflection of Joaquín Caserza and his show about mental health, on Sunday, February 1st, at the Municipal Theater.

This is the second time that the Torrevieja Carnival has paraded alone through the center of the Spanish capital, following an emblematic route from Plaza de Callao, Calle Preciados, Puerta del Sol, Arenal and Plaza de Isabel II

Torrevieja presents at the International Tourism Fair an exhibition of salt boats, pieces cured in the pink lagoon and a promotional video that highlights a unique artisanal process in the world

The recipe book includes emblematic dishes such as caldero, sangochao de sepia, traditional rice dishes, seafood stews, and sweet preparations linked to tradition, reflecting Torrevieja's close relationship with the sea, salt, and its popular cuisine.

The presentation of this event at FITUR reinforces the City Council's commitment to Carnival as a tourism product, highlighting the Drag Queen Gala as a unique, inclusive event with national reach. Among the most anticipated performances is that of Drag Sethlas, two-time winner of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Drag Queen Gala and winner of Drag Race Spain.
